PRE-STAIN
Northern
Log can also prestain your log siding, paneling, window and door trim,
or log furniture. We have found over the years that it is more economical,
and a lot easier to prestain the materials rather than wait until you
are at the job site. All of our prestaining is done at our Caro location
where the materials can then be picked up by our customers personally
delivered, or shipped out.
When
we prestain all of the log materials have been dried and we are staining
in a warm building thereby allowing the stain to dry more evenly. To ensure
perfect coverage we hand brush the stain which also allows the product
to soak into the material. Most of the material prestained is with Sikkens
log & siding stains, but we also offer other stains such as Permachink
or Minwax. For paneling we generally use a clear laquer finish or we can
even give the material a color.
A
down payment is required before we begin your pre-stain order. The price
for prestaining is by the lineal foot or if it’s furniture it is
a percentage of the cost of the item. Please feel free to contact us for
